SAT Practice ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

a) Account Information

When you sign in with Google, we collect:

• Email address
• Google profile name
• A unique user identifier

You may also create a nickname for use on the leaderboard.

b) Study and Performance Data

As you use the app, we collect data related to your learning progress:

• Practice session results (answers, scores, time spent)
• Module test results
• Vocabulary learning progress (SRS review data, mastery levels)
• Study streaks and goals
• Score projections

c) Device and Usage Data

Our advertising partner (Google AdMob) may collect:

• Device identifiers (advertising ID)
• Device information (model, operating system, screen size)
• IP address
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)

d) Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect:

• Location data
• Photos, camera, or media
• Contacts or phone numbers
• Microphone or audio data
• Biometric data

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide the service: Track your study progress, display performance analytics, and sync data across devices.
• Leaderboard: Display your nickname and question counts on the public leaderboard.
• Subscriptions: Manage your free or premium subscription status.
• Advertising: Show ads to free-tier users via Google AdMob.
• Notifications: Send local study reminders if you enable them (no push notifications are sent from our servers).

3. Data Storage

a) Local Storage

Your study data is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data remains on your device and is not accessible to us unless you sign in and sync.

b) Cloud Storage

If you sign in with Google, your data is synced to our cloud database hosted on Supabase (PostgreSQL). This enables cross-device syncing and data backup.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may collect or process your data:

5. Data Retention

• Local data is stored on your device until you uninstall the app or clear app data.
• Cloud data is retained as long as your account is active.
• The app automatically limits stored data (e.g., up to 500 practice sessions, 200 module tests, 1,000 vocabulary reviews).

6. Data Deletion & Account Deletion

You can delete your data at any time:

• Local data: Clear app data or uninstall the app from your device.
• Cloud data: Sign out of your account to remove synced data, or request full account deletion as described below.

How to Request Account Deletion

To request complete deletion of your account and all associated data, send an email to ascentstudio4216@gmail.com with the following:

• Subject: Account Deletion Request
• Body: Include the email address associated with your Google Sign-In account.

Upon receiving your request, we will delete the following within 30 days:

• Your authentication account
• All synced study data (practice sessions, module tests, vocabulary progress)
• Leaderboard profile and activity
• Any other data associated with your account

Note: Local data stored on your device is not affected by this process. To remove local data, uninstall the app or clear app data in your device settings.

7. Children's Privacy

SAT Practice is designed for high school students preparing for the SAT exam. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13, please contact us so we can promptly delete it.

8. Advertising

Free-tier users are shown ads served by Google AdMob. Ad content is limited to a maximum rating of "Teen" (T). Premium subscribers do not see ads. You can manage your ad personalization preferences through your device's Google settings.

9. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including:

• Secure HTTPS connections for all data transfers
• Row-level security on our cloud database
• Authentication tokens for API access

10. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Opt out of personalized advertising

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
